Education

NTM also organises nature visits for schools in its Nature Reserves and other sites in the countryside as well as talks about marine life. NTM is the FEE Malta coordinator running the programmes of EkoSkola (Green Flag), Young Reporters for the Environment (YRE). Learning About Forests (LEAF) , Blue Flag for beaches and marinas, and Green Key for Hotels .

Eco-Tourism

NTM promotes eco-tourism to increase the appreciation of nature and local heritage as an invaluable resource in need of protection. NTM published its own walking guide to the Maltese Islands and collaborates with tour operators for nature walks.

 

Internationally

NTM works closely with WWF (Worldwide Fund for Nature) ;  a partner of ACCOBAMS (Agreement on the Conservation of Cetaceans of the Black Sea, Mediterranean Sea and contiguous Atlantic Area). member of the Mediterranean Information Office – ECSD,  member of the Climate Action Europe and member of EEB

Wildlife Rescue

Rescue of injured marine turtles and stranded dolphins. NTM has a team of dedicated rescue volunteers all professionally trained.
